Description
The Manufacturing Engineer will report directly into the Engineering Manager and be responsible for:
- Develop a deep understanding of component manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to streamline or enhance them.
- Create, revise, and maintain work instructions and production documentation, incorporating feedback from operators and insights from process data.
- Partner directly with production teams to troubleshoot issues, support day‑to‑day activities, and train personnel on updated methods.
- Participate in nonconformance reviews, root-cause investigations, and implementation of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with data and engineering teams to create effective reporting tools and deliver concise technical updates to leadership.
- Evaluate equipment, tooling, and automation solutions; lead small-scale integration or improvement projects.
- Work cross-functionally with Quality and Product Engineering to keep communication clear and aligned on production status and technical concerns.
- Support Lean initiatives through documentation, visual management tools, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Coordinate with international engineering counterparts to report progress and share best practices.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, safety regulations (OSHA/EPA), and applicable quality systems.

Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 2-5 years of relevant engineering experience within manufacturing, aerospace, composites, or a related environment.
- Exposure to composite materials, cure cycles, and associated tooling strongly preferred.
- Comfortable working on the manufacturing floor while supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks independently.
- Experience with process automation is a plus.
