Description

The Preconstruction Manager will:

• Responsibilities include budgeting, scheduling, and logistics planning
• Preconstruction Project Management personnel are expected to promote and exemplify safe work practices and ensure safety is appropriately budgeted in every project
• Perform detailed quantity surveys both manually and electronically
• Possess knowledge of and ability to develop detailed pricing (expertise in one or more trades as experience grows)
• Develop detailed scopes of work by trade
• Communicate with and conduct review meetings with subcontractors
• Perform building systems analysis and constructability reviews
• Possess knowledge of cost and pricing trends and develop escalation analysis
• Provide leadership through building relationships, motivating others, providing clear direction, and cooperative teamwork
• Communicate effectively

Profile

The Successful Preconstruction Manager

• 1-3+ year Estimator experience with a general contractor
• Must have bachelor's degree. Preferably in construction focus, but not required.
• 7+ years of preconstruction experience preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Bluebeam and PlanSwift
• Must be comfortable working in a team environment
• Must be comfortable working with deadlines
• Must be able to manage working on several projects at the same time
• Multifamily experience
