Buyer/Sourcing Specialist

My client is looking for an ambitious procurement candidates with 2+ years of experience purchasing packaging and raw materials within the consumer goods industry, ideally personal care/beauty products. This role is on-site daily in the Northridge, CA area and it reports into the Purchasing Manager.

Client Details

For decades my client has contract manufactured excellent quality, high-end skincare and personal care products for their customers. They deliver on a wide variety of needs including quality testing, packaging, R&D, product development, production and distribution out of their Northridge, CA facility.

Description

Purchasing:

• PO distribution
• Order confirmation (cost, due date and quantity) & Payment Arrangements
• Logistics coordination
• QC issues & Return/Exchange
• Freight claims

Sourcing:

• Initiate sourcing process per request
• Assist to establish quality standard for new components
• Maintain & update component sample library
• Manage supplier relationship to ensure on-time delivery and product quality
• Develop new suppliers to enhance the overall sourcing network
• Administrative task including PO creation, PPS inspection, oversea shipments arrangement, part number request, etc.

Costing:

• Compose cost sheet draft for review

Profile

• Strong Communication Skills, both verbal and written
• Knowledge and experience with an ERP system.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook and Excel
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High School Education

Job Offer

• $70,000 - $75,000 base salary range
• PTO, company holidays, 401K w/ 3% match, healthcare options
