Client Details
Our client is a General Contractor based out of the Triangle area specializing in upfits, renovations, and ground-up construction of commercial, higher education, healthcare, and lab projects. These projects range from $10K on the smaller side, to $10M on the large side. They began growing a lot last year, and have seen success with top North Carolina based clients. They have an excellent benefits package, incredible company culture, and a strong pipeline of local projects.
Description
The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for:
- Reporting directly to the Lead Superintendent
- Working alongside and communicating effectively with the Project Management team
- Tracking daily reports
- Coordinating subcontractors
- Ensuring the project is being completed according to budget and schedule
- Assist in the preparation and review of project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate project execution
- Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and address any issues or challenges that may arise.
- Assist in managing project documentation, including contracts, permits, and change orders.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and updates for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support the project team in procurement activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.
- Assist in the coordination of project closeout activities, including punch lists, inspections, and client handover.
Profile
The successful Assistant Superintendent will have the following experience:
- 2+ years of field experience (Assistant Superintendent, Field Engineer, Project Engineer)
- 1+ year of Assistant Superintendent experience
- Experience in upfits, renovations, and/or ground-up construction of commercial projects
- Knowledge of scheduling, estimating, and cost principles.
- Basic knowledge of project management Software
- A mature professional with excellent judgment.
- A highly entrepreneurial, self-motivated and results-oriented individual.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and intuitive interpersonal skills.
- Strong time management skills, adaptable with ability to manage multiple priorities & meet deadlines, and keen attention to detail
