Financial Controller | Construction Firm | Carol Stream, IL

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to manage all aspects of the finances including job costing and internal controls, corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures in the construction industry.

Description

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting.
• Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure financial integrity.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
• Participate in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
• Coordinate with external auditors and manage internal controls.
• Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels.
• Implement operational best practices.
• Support the board of directors in financial planning and results management.

Profile

A successful Financial Controller should have:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Experience in a senior financial managerial position.
• 5+ years of experience in construction accounting, ideally with a general contractor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership qualities and a team-oriented mindset.
