Construction Superintendent - Manhattan, NY

Seeking an experienced Superintendent with expertise in commercial interiors to join the team, offering one day of remote work per week.

Client Details

Our client is a reputable and established General Contractor with a strong track record delivering high-quality commercial projects throughout the New York metro area. They are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Construction Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on projects ranging from $1M-$20M+. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Description

• Manage all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout.

• Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, inspections, and daily jobsite logistics.

• Enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized jobsite.

• Lead daily toolbox talks, progress meetings, and field communication.

• Monitor project timelines and proactively address delays or field challenges.

• Collaborate with Project Managers, clients, and design teams to ensure alignment on project goals.

• Review drawings, specifications, and RFIs to keep the project moving smoothly.

• Ensure work is executed per plans, quality expectations, and building codes

Profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or Site Supervisor in commercial construction.

• Strong background in interiors, renovations, or ground-up commercial projects (any combination is acceptable).

• Proven ability to manage subcontractors and lead field teams.

• Solid understanding of scheduling, sequencing, and field coordination.

• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
