Multifamily Superintendent - Ground-Up Construction

$90,000 - $110,000/Year

The Multifamily Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are built safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will serve as the day-to-day field leader, coordinating subcontractors, enforcing safety protocols, and acting as the primary point of contact on-site.

Well respected and midsized Philadelphia based general contractor focused on delivering high-quality multifamily communities. We pride ourselves on building projects that combine innovative design with solid construction practices. As we grow, we're seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead the on-site execution of new ground-up multifamily projects.

Description

  • Manage and coordinate all on-site construction activities for ground-up multifamily projects.

  • Direct subcontractors and ensure all work is performed according to plans, specifications, and local codes.

  • Develop and maintain short-term schedules, monitor progress, and adjust as needed to meet deadlines.

  • Enforce safety regulations and promote a culture of jobsite safety and cleanliness.

  • Conduct daily jobsite walks and inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to construction documents.

  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, architects, engineers, and inspectors.

  • Maintain daily logs, site reports, and documentation of field activities and progress.

  • Manage site logistics, deliveries, and material storage.

  • Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid schedule or budget impacts.

Profile

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on ground-up multifamily construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of building systems, construction sequencing, and site coordination.

  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and enforce site safety and quality standards.

  • Effective communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency with field management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam).

  • OSHA 30 certification required; additional safety training a plus.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or construction management coursework preferred.
