Director of Operations
The Director of Operations will play a critical role in overseeing the day-to-day production operations, ensuring all processes run smoothly, efficiently, and within budget. This individual will focus on enhancing productivity, implementing continuous improvement strategies, and leading the production team to meet high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

- Lead, mentor, and manage the production teams to achieve optimal productivity, quality, and safety.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that drive efficiencies across production, resource allocation, and workforce utilization.
- Monitor and evaluate production KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee the scheduling, planning, and execution of production processes to meet demand and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Quality, R&D, Maintenance, Supply Chain) to ensure cohesive operations and product integrity.
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve profitability.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Optimize production workflows, implement best practices, and ensure equipment reliability to support high output.
- Prepare and manage the operations budget, focusing on cost control and maximizing ROI on production investments.
- Champion a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and employee engagement across the operations team.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 8+ years of operations leadership experience within the food manufacturing industry, with a strong emphasis on production and maintenance.
- Proven track record in driving operational excellence, managing production processes, and implementing lean methodologies.
- Knowledge of industry regulations (FDA, USDA, GMP, HACCP) and commitment to safety and quality standards.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Exceptional communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
