Automation Control Engineer
The Automation Controls Engineer serves as the control systems expert within DNI's automation team. In this role, the engineer collaborates on the design, development, implementation, and upkeep of systems that automate and oversee industrial processes, with a focus on maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, safety, and reliability in manufacturing operations.

These components are widely used in industries such as medical devices, automotive, aerospace, electronics, and industrial controls.
Description
- Design and Development: Conceptualize, design, and develop control systems for industrial processes and manufacturing equipment, using programmable logic controllers (PLCs), human-machine interfaces (HMIs), robots, and inspections systems.
- Implementation and Integration: Implement and integrate these systems, ensuring they function correctly and seamlessly with existing equipment and processes.
- Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot problems, diagnose issues, and maintain systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Optimization and Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve system performance, efficiency, and safety, often through automation and data analysis.
- Cross Functional Team Member: Operates well within a small cross functional team. Willingness and ability to learn new skills and aid in all stages of the realization of new automated systems as well as sustaining and maintaining existing equipment.
Profile
- Programming: Proficiency in PLC programming languages, robotic and vision systems (e.g., Ladder Logic, Structured Text)
- Control Systems: Understanding of control theory, PID control, and other control algorithms.
- HMI Development: Experience with developing and programming HMIs (e.g., Ignition, FactoryTalk).
- Vision and Measurement Systems: Knowledge of image processing and measurement systems (e.g., Gage R&R and statistics)
- Industrial Networks: Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet, ProfiNet).
- Electrical and Mechanical Knowledge: Understanding of electrical systems, sensors, actuators, and mechanical systems.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Must be a team player who is well organized, with good communication skills, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
