Luxury Construction - Assistant Project Manager - Manhattan, NY will be responsible for the assisting and working with the Senior Project Manager to oversee and complete Commercial/Retail Construction projects throughout New York, New York. Assistant Project Manager will work directly with luxury and high end clients.

They focus on Luxury commercial and retail new Builds, Build outs, and renovations for their high end and Luxury client base. The client has a fast paced work environment with a very strong work cultural allowing for remote and hybrid work.

Description

Luxury Construction - Assistant Project Manager - Manhattan, NY

• Implement and maintain effective management, planning, and cost control systems in cooperation with the project team
• Assist with pre-construction activities relevant to assigned Commercial or retail construction project
• Will report directly to Senior Construction Manager and assist with all duties
• Establish and maintain communications between Client and Subcontractors to ensure accurate and timely flow of information
• Prepare or assist pre-construction manager with the project budget
• Work with estimating department to prepare buy-out plan
• Coordinate with Sub contractors
• Review and approve Commercial construction operation plans, change order request and pay apps.
• Provide monthly forecasting for all projects, including internal general conditions costs
• Review contingency plans for potential problems concerning labor activity, fire, storms, etc.
• Track and report on all project costs
• Identify and evaluate risk that may have an impact on the project
• Remain knowledgeable of subcontract agreements, purchase order terms and conditions, and sub consultant agreements
• Develop and issue monthly status reports to keep management informed on construction progress, direct and indirect construction costs, and other project activities

• 3+ years of working on commercial construction projects in NYC Building and Construction industry
• Experience with High end Residential or Retail is a PLUS
• Experience in Commercial and Retail markets
• Experience handling projects
• Local to New York, NY
• Must have experience building in New York City
• Construction Management or equivalent degree
• Client facing Commercial Construction Project Manager
• $80k - $110k
