HSE Engineer
We are seeking a knowledgeable and safety-driven HSE Engineer to lead and support health, safety, and environmental initiatives within our client's manufacturing facility. This role is critical in ensuring a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace. The ideal candidate will bring experience in heavy industry and a proactive approach to risk management and safety.

Description
Provides comprehensive support to the project team throughout the design, construction, and start-up phases.
Assists with all facets of Health and Safety, including SAP notifications, permitting processes, compliance documentation, tracking, and internal safety communications.
Leads or supports the execution of internal safety initiatives and improvement projects.
Collects, analyzes, and presents health and safety data such as monthly labor hours, incidents, key performance indicators (KPIs), OSHA logs, and other relevant metrics.
Promotes site-wide health and wellness initiatives, including organizing blood drives, health fairs, and company-sponsored safety and wellness events.
Conducts safety audits to ensure regulatory and company compliance, and collaborates with management to establish, implement, and monitor progress on safety improvement goals.
Participates in or leads investigations of safety incidents to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
Advises management on safety considerations related to project and equipment design, as well as construction activities.
Maintains existing safety programs and develops new ones as needed, including the delivery of training and implementation plans.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related discipline, or a combination of post-secondary education and related experience
- Safety experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
- Experience as a Safety Engineer
