Description

The Preconstruction Manager - Multifamily Projects - Northern Virginia will play a critical role in leading the preconstruction process for multifamily projects, ensuring they are completed from concept through to completion. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading feasibility studies and managing project design and budgeting.
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to develop accurate and competitive estimates.
  • Preparing and managing detailed project schedules to meet all milestones.
  • Analyzing project documents to identify potential issues and provide effective solutions.
  • Conducting value engineering analyses to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
  • Coordinating with project managers and stakeholders to define project goals and requirements.
  • Presenting estimates and project plans to internal teams and clients, clearly communicating methodologies and assumptions.
  • Managing the bid process, soliciting bids from subcontractors and suppliers, and evaluating submissions.
  • Fostering strong relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors throughout the preconstruction phase.
  • Staying current on industry trends, materials, and regulations to ensure compliance and maintain a competitive edge.

Profile

The Preconstruction Manager - Multifamily Projects - Northern Virginia will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction management, specifically within multifamily construction.
  • Strong knowledge of multifamily building systems, codes, and construction methods.
  • Proven experience with estimating software and project management tools.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
