- Design and develop tooling for mono and co-extrusion plastic profiles and tubes.
- Lead new tooling development projects ensuring quality and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and QC teams to approve first article samples.
- Oversee machine shop activities and ensure tools meet design and quality standards.
- Coordinate procurement needs for tooling materials and supplies.
- Troubleshoot daily process issues and support production teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce scrap.
- Maintain engineering documentation and databases.
Profile
- BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 0-5 years in plastic manufacturing, preferably extrusion die design and process development.
- Candidates completing university can be considered with the right background.
- Knowledge of plastic resins and processing techniques.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and CAD/CAM software.
- Strong project management and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
