The Senior Accountant is responsible helping maintain a strong system of internal control, administer the processes needed to make timely payments to vendors and students, and ensure the College's statutory compliance

Description

• Reviews expense accounts and generate a monthly Accounts Payable ledger, reconcile the total to the general ledger control account balance
• Reviews vendor invoices, employee expense reports, imports invoices in the Concur system into the ERP software.
• Prepares and submits annual filings of Form 1099s, abandoned property reports, and sales taxes returns.
• Oversees the work of one Staff Accountant

Profile

• 5+ years of relevant experience & familiarity with higher education
• Managerial experience to oversee 1 staff accountant
• Exposure to multiple ERP's and oversee the Concur Invoice software
