Description

The MEP Estimator is responsible for:

• Reviewing project documents (blueprints, specifications, etc.) and conducting takeoffs to prepare accurate MEP estimates
• Analyzing labor, material, and equipment costs for MEP systems
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather pricing information
• Preparing detailed cost breakdowns and presenting estimates to clients or internal teams
• Monitoring changes in project scope and adjusting estimates accordingly
• Maintaining relationships with subcontractors and vendors for pricing updates and negotiations
• Participating in pre-construction meetings and assisting with value engineering recommendations
• Assisting with project bids, proposals, and presentations
• Staying updated with industry trends, cost fluctuations, and new technologies related to MEP systems

Profile

The MEP Estimator should have:

• 3+ years of MEP Estimating experience
• A strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing codes and regulations
• Experience using Procore or familiar software
• Construction related degree
• OSHA 10 (preferred)
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
