Description
As a Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading multiple complex commercial or government base building projects. You will be responsible for all aspects of project execution-from preconstruction through closeout-ensuring quality delivery, budget control, and schedule performance.
- Manage and oversee all phases of construction projects, from preconstruction to closeout
- Lead communication with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors
- Coordinate all project logistics, including schedule development, procurement, subcontractor buyout, and risk mitigation
- Create and manage project budgets, cost reports, forecasts, and change orders
- Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, building codes, and safety standards
- Proactively manage project schedules using tools like MS Project or Primavera
- Lead progress meetings, internal coordination calls, and field-office collaboration
- Monitor and support field activities, ensuring timely problem resolution and quality control
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, and all contract documentation via Procore or similar platforms
- Mentor Assistant PMs and Project Engineers as part of your project team
- Collaborate with estimating and business development teams for project pursuits and proposals
- Oversee 3-4 projects at a time (typically between $30M-$200M+)
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- 5-10 years of project management experience in commercial and/or government construction
- Strong background in general contracting and field coordination
- Experience with municipal/institutional buildings, K-12, government facilities, or healthcare strongly preferred
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead complex base building projects on time and within budget
- Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, Procore, and project cost tracking systems
