Client Details

The finance/accounting team is looking to grow and bring on an Assistant Controller. This role is set up to grow quickly within the organization.

Description

• Assist the Controller in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and accurate reporting.
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, providing insightful analysis and variance reports.
• Assist in the preparation of audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
• Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Strong Cost Accounting experience
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
