Assistant Project Manager - Construction
This is a full-time role for an Assistant Project Manager or Junior Project Manager with a background in commercial fit-outs. You'll support project delivery for high-end corporate interior spaces across NYC.
Client Details
A well-established general contractor and construction manager, in business for over 30 years. With 50-60 employees, they specialize in corporate, retail, and specialty fit-outs, known for their collaborative, family-like culture and consistent project volume. Despite market fluctuations, they've never laid off employees during downturns.
Description
- Assist in managing interior fit-out projects ranging from $1M-$20M+
- Coordinate with subcontractors and maintain schedules, RFIs, and submittals
- Attend client meetings and document project updates
- Use project management software (Procore, PlanGrid) for tracking and communication
- Maintain a polished, professional presence with clients and internal teams
Profile
- Has experience working for a GC on NYC commercial interiors
- Understands construction documents and project coordination
- Is confident, polished, and thrives in a collaborative environment
- Holds a degree in construction, engineering, or architecture (preferred)
- Proficient with Procore and/or PlanGrid
Job Offer
- Salary range of $75K-$100K
- One WFH day every other week
- Annual performance reviews with generous bonuses
- Profit sharing program paid annually
- 401K after 90 days, medical/dental/vision coverage
- 10 vacation days, 5 sick days, 11 paid holidays (15 vacation days with 5+ years experience)
