CNC Technician
The CNC Manufacturing Technician will be essential to the sustaining of production and the ongoing growth of our client. You will troubleshoot equipment and program issues for CNC machinery, as well as manage tooling/fixturing efforts. They have cemented themselves as a premier name in their space, and continue to grow organically and through acquisitions. Their booming facility near Oak Lawn, IL is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to join the team!
Description
- Lead in optimization of set-up cycle times and improvement of productivity standards by teaming with machine operators and set up personnel
- Set-up and troubleshoot CNC machines and provide support/maintenance of said machines
- Review customer specifications and drawings for manufacturability
- Write specifications for design, testing, and manufacturing of hand tools
- Develop and implement LEAN/Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce waste and lower cycle times
- Maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems while improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs and changeovers
- Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field, or equivalent level of experience/education
- 4+ years manufacturing experience, including tooling and fixturing background
- Knowledge of using ERP systems
- 3+ years experience working with CNC lathes and/or mills
- CAD and Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills are required.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
Job Offer
- Salary range: $70,000-$80,000/year depending on level of experience
- 3 weeks PTO and 10 Holidays
