Our client is a growing manufacturing company with approximately 150 employees dedicated to producing high-quality products in a safe, efficient, and sustainable manner. They are seeking a hands-on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator with 2+ years of experience to strengthen their safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements. Description
The EHS Coordinator - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:
- Lead daily safety initiatives across the facility, serving as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters.
- Conduct routine safety inspections, hazard assessments, and incident investigations to identify and correct unsafe conditions or behaviors.
- Partner with supervisors and employees to drive proactive safety engagement on the shop floor.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs on topics such as lockout/tagout, machine guarding, PPE, confined space entry, and ergonomics.
- Maintain and update all required safety documentation, training records, and compliance reports.
- Support job safety analyses (JSAs), risk assessments, and corrective action tracking.
- Participate in safety committee meetings and promote employee involvement in safety initiatives.
- Assist in managing EHS programs including emergency response, chemical management (SDS), and contractor safety.
- Support environmental compliance as needed (waste disposal, air/water permits, etc.), though the primary focus will be on occupational safety.

Profile
The ideal EHS Coordinator - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred (experience may be considered in lieu).
- 2+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA standards and incident investigation methods.
- Proven ability to influence and engage employees at all levels to drive a positive safety culture.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Safety certifications such as OSHA 30, ASP, or CSP (preferred but not required).
