The Senior Manager, Aerospace Engine MRO Business Development is responsible for driving business growth within the aerospace Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) sector, specifically for aircraft engines. This role involves identifying new opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring alignment with corporate growth objectives.

Our client is a global manufacturer specializing in complex aircraft engine components. The company was established in February 2023 through the merger of two prominent aerospace manufacturers. This consolidation created a scaled and diversified manufacturer of tight-tolerance components used in both commercial and military aircraft engines. Headquartered near Manchester, Connecticut, the company operates multiple facilities across North America, Europe, and Africa. The company employs over 3,000 individuals, making it one of the largest privately held aerospace manufacturing companies globally.

Description

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to expand the company's engine MRO services.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including airlines, leasing companies, OEMs, and defense organizations.
  • Conduct market analysis to understand trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs.
  • Drive revenue growth by securing new contracts and expanding existing customer accounts.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop pricing strategies and service offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, industry stakeholders, and partners.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to represent the company.
  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring terms align with company objectives and financial goals.
  • Work with legal and finance teams to structure profitable agreements.
  • Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to ensure service delivery aligns with customer expectations.
  • Provide input into operational capacity planning based on market demand.
  • Partner with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, revenue, and market penetration.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on business development activities and outcomes.

Profile

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience: 8+ years in aerospace MRO business development, with a focus on engine services.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul processes.
  • Established network of contacts within the aviation industry.
  • Proven experience in contract negotiation and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
  • Experience working with major OEMs, airlines, and leasing companies.
  • Knowledge of FAA, EASA, and other regulatory requirements related to engine MRO.
  • Familiarity with digital and predictive maintenance technologies in the aerospace sector.

Job Offer

  • $150,000 - $175,000 base salary
  • Performance based sales bonus, dependant on overall company and personal performance
