Director, Operational Risk - Investment Management
A leading alternative asset manager seeks a Director, Operational Risk Manager to develop and implement a risk framework, methodology, and culture. This role ensures operational risk management is fully integrated into investment processes and decision-making, fostering a strong risk-aware environment across the organization.

Description
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and oversee an operational risk framework tailored to investment activities.
Develop risk methodologies and ensure alignment with industry best practices and regulatory expectations.
Lead initiatives to embed a strong risk culture across the firm, ensuring investment teams proactively assess and manage operational risks.
Conduct risk assessments, identifying key exposures and recommending mitigation strategies.
Oversee risk monitoring and reporting processes, delivering clear insights to senior leadership.
Collaborate with investment professionals and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of risk considerations into deal structures and portfolio management.
Provide guidance on risk governance, policies, and control enhancements to optimize operational resilience.
Prepare risk-related materials and present findings to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Profile
Qualifications:
10+ years in operational risk management or adjacent field, preferably within an alternative asset management or investment firm.
Strong background in building and implementing risk frameworks and methodologies.
Proven ability to foster and strengthen risk culture within investment teams.
Deep understanding of risk governance, regulatory expectations, and industry standards.
Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex risk scenarios and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Outstanding communication and leadership abilities, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
Job Offer
$200,000 - $300,000.
