Materials Scientist- Ceramics- Burlington VT (relo available!)
The Materials Scientist will serve as a technical leader, responsible for driving initiatives to support the manufacturing, efficiency, and quality control of all materials and products. They will advance our technology through R&D projects and grow company capability.

Description
- Drive a culture of safety, quality, and innovation.
- Support new product development from concept to production.
- Lead process development projects and scale-up qualifications for new materials and technologies.
- Design test programs to improve material characterisation and optimize processes.
- Manage material specifications and updates for raw and manufactured products.
- Provide technical support to address and prevent manufacturing disruptions and quality issues.
- Collaborate on continuous improvement projects to enhance yields, capacity, and cost-efficiency.
- Partner with commercial teams to handle customer inquiries and joint development efforts.
- Develop and deliver training to improve organizational knowledge and awareness.
- Identify and implement capital equipment and materials engineering projects to achieve manufacturing goals.
Profile
- Master's in ceramic engineering, materials science, or related field (PhD preferred) with 5+ years' experience.
- Expertise in material characterization and new product development.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Proven data-driven decision-making under pressure.
- Effective communicator across technical levels.
- Excellent time management and ability to work independently.
