We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to contribute to our continued success by providing accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of commercial construction projects.

Description

1. Cost Estimation:

   • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, considering all relevant factors, such as materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor bids.
   • Utilize historical data, industry benchmarks, and market trends to ensure competitive and realistic estimates.

2. Bid Preparation:

   • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for bid preparation.
   • Prepare comprehensive bid proposals and submit them in a timely manner.

3. Vendor and Subcontractor Management:

   • Source and evaluate potential vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
   • Negotiate and secure favorable terms with suppliers and subcontractors.

4. Value Engineering:

   • Analyze project requirements and propose value engineering solutions to optimize costs without compromising quality.
   • Collaborate with project teams to explore alternative materials or construction methods.

5. Bid Analysis:

   • Evaluate bid proposals from subcontractors and vendors to ensure accuracy, completeness, and competitiveness.
   • Provide recommendations to project teams based on bid analysis.

6. Collaboration:

   • Work closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide ongoing support during the pre-construction phase.

Profile

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
2. Proven experience as an Estimator in the commercial construction industry, preferably in the New York market.
3. In-depth knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
6. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
