Description

Our client, a leading automotive manufacturer, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Quality Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring product quality and process integrity within the production environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve quality issues, implement continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements. This is a critical position that offers a unique opportunity to drive quality excellence and innovation in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead quality initiatives to improve product quality, reduce defects, and optimize production processes.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and suppliers, to ensure the highest level of product integrity.
  • Develop and maintain quality standards and procedures to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize data analysis tools to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform failure analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure adherence to quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior quality engineers and production staff on quality best practices.
  • Drive the implementation of new technologies and quality tools to improve overall manufacturing processes.
  • Support the development and execution of product testing and validation to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to ensure quality considerations are integrated into the design and development phases.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in quality engineering within the automotive or manufacturing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), tools, and methodologies, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, SPC, FMEA, and Six Sigma.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to drive root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Experience with data analysis software and quality management tools such as Minitab, Excel, or similar programs.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry standards, regulations, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
