I'm partnered with the VP of Finance & Controller at a Global, ~$500M Manufacturing Organization, that is an industry leader within their space, as they look at add a Staff Accountant to their Accounting & Finance team. Located near the Carol Stream, IL area, they are looking for an Accountant coming from a background within the Manufacturing Industry and/or a background within Public Accounting, a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, and the ability to critically think with a goal of providing value to improve internal controls and processes.

Description

Accountant Responsibilities:

• Maintain general ledger entries and perform account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Reconcile bank and financial accounts
• Support payroll processing and related journal entries
• Prepare financial reports and assist in budgeting and forecasting
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances
• Automate routine accounting tasks and enhance data workflows
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
• Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 1-3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing organization and/or public accounting firm
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and international accounting standards.
• Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
