Estimator - Projects up to $250M - Boston, MA
I'm partnered with a highly respected New England construction firm that is adding an Estimator to support continued growth across multiple project sectors. This role sits within an established preconstruction team and reports directly to a Senior Estimator.
Client Details
My client is a respected New England construction manager and builder with more than 500 employees and over a century of history. They are known for delivering technically complex healthcare, education, public, and energy projects and continue to win a significant amount of new work, driving the need to expand their estimating group.
Description
- Prepare conceptual, schematic, and GMP estimates for projects $25M+
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis
- Solicit, review, and level subcontractor bids
- Collaborate with preconstruction, operations, and field leadership
- Assist with value engineering and cost‑saving alternatives
- Participate in estimate reviews and client presentations
- Maintain historical cost data and pricing benchmarks
- Support multiple bids simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment
Profile
A successful Estimator should have:
- 6-12+ years of construction estimating experience
- Background in Healthcare, K‑12, Public, or District Energy projects
- Experience estimating projects over $25M (no multifamily)
- Strong understanding of construction means and methods
- Proficiency with Procore, MS Office, and Bluebeam
- Ability to commute to Medford, MA or Norwood, MA
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Job Offer
- Base salary: $110,000-$145,000
- PTO: 3-4 weeks vacation + 1 week sick time
- 12 paid holidays
