Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all core accounting functions, including general ledger, AP/AR, and payroll
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and management reports
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and industry requirements
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls and financial procedures
- Monitor project financials, including cost tracking and variance analysis
- Manage audits and coordinate with external accountants and advisors
- Supervise and develop the accounting team
- Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to senior leadership
Profile
Successful Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred
- Extensive experience in accounting or finance, with a strong background in construction, real estate, or project-based industries
- Deep understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and job cost accounting
- Proven ability to lead accounting operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Experience establishing and improving internal controls and financial processes
- High level of proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel capabilities
- Effective communicator, able to present financial insights clearly to senior leadership
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities
