Operations Manager | Metal Machining
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager for an aerospace manufacturer of aircraft engine parts. Must have experience with CNC Lathes, CNC Milling machines and manufacturing specialty metals to be able to support the manufacturing floor.

Our client is a precision machining company specializing in large-scale CNC milling and turning. They primarily serve the aerospace, defense, and industrial sectors with high-accuracy, AS9100-certified components. The company operates out of a 59,500 sq ft climate-controlled facility and emphasizes on-time delivery, competitive pricing, and quality. Their capabilities include modern CNC equipment and a focus on continuous process improvement. Satellite Tool is known for partnering closely with customers to meet complex specifications for mission-critical parts.
Description
Provide leadership and guidance to production staff and cross-functional teams
Troubleshoot machining and production challenges to keep operations running smoothly
Support team development through training, mentoring, and process oversight
Monitor and improve workflow, quality control, and production efficiency
Ensure compliance with safety policies, quality systems, and company procedures
Collaborate with Production Control to align schedules and optimize throughput
Contribute to decisions around machine purchases and future growth strategies
Stay engaged with machine maintenance needs and support resolution of technical issues
Drive continuous improvement in areas like rework reduction and setup times
Lead by example in enforcing the use of PPE and safe work practices
Profile
Proven leadership in a manufacturing or operations setting, ideally within aerospace
Strong knowledge of CNC machining processes and working with specialty metals
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills
Clear communication style and the ability to lead in a team-oriented environment
Experience with process improvement, data analysis, and shop floor collaboration
