Construction Assistant Superintendent - New Jersey
Currently seeking an Assistant Superintendent to support the successful on-site execution of a ground-up, wood-frame multifamily project in Montclair. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone ready to take the next step in their construction career and gain exposure to high-quality residential builds.

Description
Assist the Superintendent with daily job site operations on a ground-up wood-frame multifamily project
Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure work stays on schedule and meets quality standards
Enforce site safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance
Monitor framing, utility installation, and finish work to ensure adherence to plans and specs
Maintain accurate field documentation including daily logs, progress photos, punch lists, and inspection reports
Help manage delivery logistics, material staging, and equipment coordination
Support site meetings, inspections, and walk-throughs with stakeholders
Profile
3-5 years of experience in residential or multifamily construction, preferably with ground-up wood-frame projects
Knowledge of construction sequencing, site safety, and trade coordination
Strong communication and organizational skills with a 'boots-on-the-ground' mindset
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
Familiarity with project management software such as Procore, PlanGrid, or Buildertrend
OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
