My client is an analytical instrumentation company based in southeastern, Massachusetts. They are a 75 year old company that manufactures benchtop equipment for the pharmaceutical development, clinical, research, and academia industries. The bioprocess product portfolio has grown recently through product line expansion and acquisitions, so it is a great time to join.
Description
Responsibilities:

- Support the management of the product lifecycle for bioprocess capital equipment, from concept through development to launch and post-launch phases.
- Work closely with senior product managers to develop and refine product roadmaps and strategies.
- Assist in defining product specifications, requirements, and features based on market needs and customer feedback.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the bioprocess capital equipment sector.
- Analyze customer feedback, competitive products, and industry developments to identify opportunities for product enhancements and innovation.
- Assist in the preparation of business cases, pricing models, and go-to-market strategies based on market analysis.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Act as a liaison between customers, technical teams, and senior product management, ensuring that product development aligns with customer needs and expectations.
- Assist in preparing sales enablement tools, training materials, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support customer-facing teams (sales, support, and service) by providing product expertise, addressing customer inquiries, and facilitating product demonstrations.
- Assist in gathering and analyzing customer feedback to refine product offerings and improve customer satisfaction.
- Support product trials and evaluations with customers and partners, gathering data to inform future product improvements.
- Help develop marketing collateral and product documentation, including brochures, datasheets, presentations, and website content.
- Support the creation of launch plans, working with marketing and sales teams to execute product introductions.
- Assist in tracking product performance post-launch, helping identify opportunities for optimization and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Assist in tracking product performance against key performance indicators (KPIs), such as sales growth, market share, and customer feedback.
- Prepare regular updates for senior management, including progress reports, forecasts, and competitive intelligence insights.

Profile
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or related field. MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 2+ years of experience in product management, field applications, sales or a related role within the bioprocessing, life sciences, or capital equipment industries.
- Familiarity with bioprocessing technologies and capital equipment used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing (e.g., filtration systems, bioreactors, chromatography systems, etc.).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data, customer insights, and financial models.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and experience with product management tools (JIRA, Aha!, etc.) is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
