SSHO - Construction

We're seeking a talented Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) to ensure that our construction projects are completed in a safe and efficient manner. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and coordinating training programs.

Description

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Manage and coordinate safety training programs for staff.
• Investigate accidents, identify their causes, and recommend solutions to prevent future incidents.
• Keep abreast of any changes to laws and regulations that impact the company's operations.
• Prepare reports summarizing health and safety activities.
• Promote a culture of safety within the organization.
• Collaborate with project management teams to integrate safety measures into all stages of project planning and execution.

Profile

A successful SSHO should have:

• A degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• Experience in the construction or property industry.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for liaising with staff at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
