Superintendent - Commercial Construction
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead onsite operations for commercial construction projects across Nashville and Middle Tennessee. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who thrives in fast‑paced environments and excels at coordinating trades, managing field logistics, and delivering high‑quality projects safely and on time.
Client Details
Our client is a Nashville‑based commercial general contractor with more than three decades of experience delivering public, hospitality, adaptive reuse, and nonprofit/business construction, known for building 'places people want to go.' Their projects include parks, libraries, historic renovations, restaurants, community centers, and other highly visible public and private sector facilities.Description
- Lead day‑to‑day field operations from mobilization through closeout.
- Manage subcontractors, scheduling, site logistics, and daily workflow planning.
- Enforce all safety standards, including OSHA requirements and company‑wide safety protocols.
- Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accurate field execution.
- Coordinate inspections, material deliveries, equipment needs, and workflow sequencing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite at all times.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager on schedule tracking, issue resolution, and project reporting.
- Maintain daily logs, quality control checks, and documentation for field activities.
- Lead punch list completion and assist with turnover/closeout procedures.
Profile
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Background in one or more project types such as hospitality, public buildings, adaptive reuse, retail, education, community spaces, or nonprofit facilities.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, subcontractor management, and jobsite organization.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, and technical documents.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate with owners, design teams, and field staff.
- High attention to detail in safety, quality, and documentation.
- A proactive, team‑focused mindset with the ability to solve problems in real time.
- Familiarity with Nashville subcontractor network (preferred).
Job Offer
