Description

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring on-time delivery, proper documentation, and adherence to budget while meeting business and customer objectives.
  • Provides technical expertise and ensures high-quality project outcomes across all technical aspects.
  • Mentors team members on technical and scientific topics, acting as a subject matter expert in areas like experimental design and data analysis.
  • Designs and documents complex experiments and protocols aligned with project goals, both internal and external, while adapting strategies based on results.
  • Conducts thorough data analysis, addressing issues in data integrity and adjusting experimental paths as needed.
  • Manages project deliverables, incorporating key decision points into the project plan and leading high-impact initiatives.
  • Identifies resource needs, recommends project resource allocation, and manages external collaborations/contracts to achieve project goals.
  • Engages with the external technical community, driving innovation and bringing new technologies into the company to support business objectives.
  • Leads and develops teams, holding direct reports accountable, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and promoting a culture of innovation.
  • Ensures compliance with quality, safety standards, and regulations, while managing special characteristics and risk analysis for project validation.

Profile

Ideal Candidate:

  • PhD with 8 years, MS with 14 years, or BS with 16 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to manage projects through the entire development cycle in diverse manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership in advanced R&D programs and successful completion of technical projects.
  • Strong track record of technical accomplishments, including IP generation and impactful contributions to company success.
  • Expertise in specialty research areas, with broad knowledge of company products, processes, and technologies.
  • Basic understanding of environmental impacts across the product life cycle.
  • Experience thriving in cross-functional teams, with superior time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong formal presentation skills, with experience presenting to both technical and business audiences.
  • Recognized as the company expert in their specialty area, with a 'can-do' attitude and solid business acumen.
  • Proven success in coaching, mentoring, and developing others, with proficiency in MS Office Suite and willingness to travel domestically and internationally (10%).
