Grant Accountant
Our client, a reputable non-profit organization based in Brooklyn, is looking for an experienced Grant Billing Analyst. This is a temp to perm role, and the successful candidate will be immediately available to start a new role.
Client Details
Reputable social services organization based in Brooklyn. This role is 2 days per week in office, with 3 days from home and offers a chance to work in a collaborative department at this non-profit making a difference.
Description
This role will involve:
- Ensuring allocations to programs are correct, ensuring expenses are allowable by funder
- Pre-paying invoices
- Updating variance reports
- Assisting registration process for grants, and how to navigate funders after grants are approved
- Analyze grant agreements and contract terms to understand billing requirements and compliance guidelines
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely invoices to funding agencies, ensuring all supporting documentation is included
- Review grant-related expenses to ensure they are correctly allocated to appropriate categories before invoicing.
- Reconcile grant invoices with financial records to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely payment of grant funds.
- Reconcile billing records and resolve discrepancies with grantors or internal teams.
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- 1-2 years of experience in grant administration
- Bachelors in Accounting, or Finance or related field
- Understanding of city, state, federal grants
- Analytical skills
- Excel skills, Tech savvy
- Communication skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to work in diverse environment
