Senior Accountant | $1B Manufacturer | Bartlett, IL
I am currently partnered with a Global, Multi-Billion Dollar Manufacturing Conglomerate who is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant to work in their largest North American Business Unit. The Senior Accountant will report into the Accounting Manager and also support the Controller. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and a deep understanding of inter-company accounting principles. Client Details
My client is a global, multi billion dollar manufacturing conglomerate with a focus within the Automotive space. They're a leader within the industry, and have been in business for decades. The Senior Accountant will support the Local Accounting Leadership team, as well as, the Executive Leadership team at North American HQ, and the International Leadership team as well.
This position is a key role and will serve as a true 'Senior' accountant playing an immediate, significant role within the Month End Close process with a heavy focus in Inter-company Transactions. This position will also partner alongside the Operations/Plant Controllers, so any exposure within Cost/Inventory Accounting would be a major plus within this position.
Description
- Lead month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and analyzing financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage inter-company transactions, including reconciliation of inter-company accounts, resolution of discrepancies, and coordination with subsidiaries to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to resolve inter-company issues, streamline processes, and improve controls.
- Prepare and review inter-company agreements, ensuring compliance with corporate policies and accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analysis for management review and external audit purposes.
- Stay current with accounting regulations and industry standards related to inter-company transactions and implement best practices as necessary.
- Participate in special projects and initiatives to support continuous improvement and operational excellence within the finance function.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close and inter-company transactions within a manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles, with specific knowledge of inter-company accounting requirements.
- Experience with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
