Description
The Grading Superintendent - Civil Construction - Raleigh will:
- Lead on-site operations for heavy highway, sitework projects, including grading, earthmoving, utilities, and roadways
- Supervise field crews and coordinate subcontractors and suppliers
- Develop and maintain project schedules to meet milestones and deadlines
- Ensure safety compliance and conduct regular site safety meetings
- Conduct quality inspections to meet specifications and regulatory standards
- Manage project costs and resources to stay within budget
- Maintain daily reports and project documentation
- Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and stakeholders
Profile
The Grading Superintendent - Civil Construction - Raleigh should possess the following qualifications:
- Experience: At least 8 years of relevant experience in civil construction.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and processes.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using construction estimating software and other relevant tools.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build interpersonal relationships.
- Teamwork and Independence: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
- Contractual Understanding: Knowledge of construction contracts and legal requirements.
