Plant Manager

Utilizing your background in CNC Machining, you will come in as a Plant Manager to transform a plant from a mid-sized, family owned manufacturer to a modern, efficient retail fastener supplier. You will head up all internal operations of this plant which is a specific business unit of a much larger, midwestern conglomerate

Client Details

My client is a retail fastner supplier of machined parts who isa family-owned company up, so this position will be to take the current VP's place as the Plant Manager of the facility following his more recent departure. This role is also exposed to senior leadership for more opportunities for further growth.

Description

• Manage 6 direct reports, and over 70+ indirect reports
• Handle P&L responsibilities, be an active part of the leadership strategy team
• Utilize background in CNC Machining (Mills, Lathes, Spindle Machines) to troubleshoot production issues on the floor
• Design Fixtures and Jigs in Solid-Works
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, seeking ways to be more efficient and optimize cost savings opportunities
• Hand's On Role - lead by example
• Identify production problems and present creative solutions to Senior Leadership
• Troubleshoot machinery programming - do not need to be an expert.
• Communicate with customers and regularly perform DFMA

Profile

• 7Y+ Experience in a CNC environment
• 5+ Years of Leadership Experience (Experience of over 70+ indirect reports highly preferred)
• Extensive experience with SolidWorks
• Associates Degree or Higher Required
• 'Hands On' Mentality, not afraid to get your hands dirty
• Experience with fixture design, Jig creation, and DFMA
• GD&T Experience
