Multifamily Assistant Project Manager- Seattle, WA

The assistant project manager will work alongside both the Project Manager and Senior Project Manager on projects learning different aspects of the job and how our project managers maintain such strong client relationships. Client Details

Our client is a full service general contractor that has been in business that has been in business for over 40 years and licensed in 8 different states. This general contractor focuses in preconstruction all the way to project completion. They use multiple new software, and new VDC methods that help improve their projects confidently and strategically, improving their project management and cross coordination to help prevent conflicts early and save clients money and time. This general contractor work on multifamily builds, industrial, manufacturing facilities, restaurants, and retail.

Description

  • Able to review drawings and specifications and able to point out inconsistencies and conflicts
  • Understand building systems (civil, structure, enclosure, interiors, and MEP) to ensure building systems are properly coordinated
  • Ensure that all material and equip are released for fabrication in adequate lead time to accommodate the required job site delivery date
  • Document all as- built changes, maintain project record drawing and specifications
  • Receive and distribute information on clarifications and changes in the work for areas of responsibility
  • Obtain and check subcontractor's printing and assist in assembling change quotations as directed by project manager
  • Set up project close- out procedures and manage the close out process
  • Maintain and issue status logs for all field questions, RFI's, changes, work orders, etc
  • Embrace a collaborative approach with team members
  • Lead company- level technical training to the project engineer work group

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field or equivalent years of experience required
  • Minimum of 4 years or more of general contracting experience, preferably with proven performance on multifamily builds
  • Must has at least 2 multifamily builds on your project list to be considered
  • Must have technology proficiency in programs such as Bluebeam for success in this role
  • Requires work on active commercial construction sites
  • Creative problem solver and excellent communication skills
