US life insurance company hiring for a Controller to report into the CFO and oversee blue book, Statutory and US GAAP reporting, while managing a small team

Description
The Insurance Controller will have the following day-to-day responsibilities -
- Timely and accurately complete all external GAAP and Statutory financial reports and schedules, including annual and quarterly statements, audited financial statements, and all schedules required by regulatory bodies including meaningful review and analysis of results.
- Reconcile and balance company accounts
- Prepare month, quarter, and year-end closings
- Responsible for accruals and bank reconciliations
- Manage and train staff members
Profile
- The Insurance Controller should have a mnimum 5 years of experience in insurance accounting
- Statutory and US GAAP reporting experience
- Blue book experience
- Motivated attitude with a desire to make an impact on a growing team
