IT Network Support Engineer

IT Senior Network Support Engineer responsible for maintaining globally distributed infrastructure, ensuring system reliability, and providing advanced user and vendor support. This role is a contract role to start, and hybrid.

Description

• Provide technical support and resolve IT issues for end-users in a timely manner.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
• Respond to technical inquiries and provide solutions to enhance user experience.
• Document issues and resolutions for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with the Technology team to implement system upgrades and improvements.
• Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures within the financial services industry.
• Provide training and guidance to users on new technology and tools.

Profile

• Microsoft Technologies: Expertise in Windows Server (2012-2025), Exchange (Hybrid), Active Directory, and Office 365.
• Networking: Strong knowledge of Cisco and Palo Alto for LAN/WAN, VPN, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA).
• Virtualization: Hands-on experience with VMware ESX.
• Monitoring & ITSM: Familiarity with tools like PRTG (or similar) and ServiceNow or other ITIL-based platforms.
• Security: Proficient in firewalls, endpoint protection, and vulnerability management.
• Experience working with globally distributed infrastructure.
• 10+ years in IT, including 5+ years in engineering/support roles.
• Financial services/banking background is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Excellent customer-facing skills with the ability to engage and support a large user base.
