Institutional Giving Assistant

The Institutional Giving Assistant will lead and grow foundation, corporate foundation, and government funding to support both unrestricted and program-specific priorities. This role partners closely with program and education teams to secure, steward, and manage impactful institutional support.

Client Details

Our client is a high-profile nonprofit cultural institution in the media and entertainment space, dedicated to preserving media history and exploring the influence of media on culture and public discourse.

Description

  • Develop and execute strategies to secure foundation, corporate foundation, and government funding
  • Research, identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward institutional donors and prospects
  • Expand the institutional donor pipeline through prospect lists, profiles, and briefing materials
  • Partner with programs and education teams to align funding opportunities with initiatives
  • Lead proposal development, contract administration, and grant management
  • Manage reporting requirements, including interim and final grant reports
  • Oversee relationships with current institutional funders while cultivating new ones
  • Coordinate strategic engagement of funders through events and organisation initiatives
  • Ensure best practices in institutional fundraising processes and compliance
  • Manage and mentor a direct report within institutional giving

Profile

A successful Institutional Giving Assistant should have:

  • Proven, results-driven institutional fundraiser with strong leadership presence
  • Exceptional written and verbal communicator with advanced proposal-writing skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strategic thinker with strong research, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-paced, in-person environment
  • Deep understanding of foundation, corporate, and government funding landscapes
  • Experience within media, entertainment, cultural, or education-related organizations preferred
