New temporary role for immediate start! Employment Counsel position in a highly successful, global, technology organization. Fully remote temporary maternity cover role for immediate start (contract estimated to run April-September 2025) responsible for leading all US employment legal matters.

Reporting directly to the Head of Legal, this role has sole responsibility for all US legal employment matters.
Description
Varied role as Employment Counsel:
- Providing legal advice on all US employment matters to HR and the Head of Legal
- Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Training management and HR on legal matters related to employment
- Assisting with internal investigations
- Participating in the negotiation and drafting of employment contracts
- Overseeing employment-related disputes and outside counsel
- Developing and implementing employment policies and procedures

Profile
Demonstrable experience required for the Employment Counsel:
- A law degree
- US State Bar (in good standing)
- 7+ years experience handling varied employment legal matters
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle complex legal matters, communicating well with non-legal stakeholders
- Experience in drafting legal documents and contracts
Job Offer
The Employment Counsel will benefit from:
- Immediate start, this is a maternity cover likely to run from April-September with potential to extend
- Hourly pay rate with comparable estimated salary range in the region of $150,000-$200,000
- Fully remote role
