Supplier Quality Manager - Military & Defense | Quarterly Bonus
Our client is looking to bring in a Supplier Quality Manager to lead their supplier development initiatives. The Supplier Quality Manager will evaluate and approve new suppliers, assist the internal team with audits, and travel (mostly in the Midwest) to manage their supplier relationships.
Client Details
Our client is a leading manufacturer of alternators and power management solutions for the military and speciality vehicle industries. Their facility in the northern Chicago suburbs is 250,000 sq ft, and is houses up to 400 employees currently. They have state of the art machinery, which are built for custom work.Description
- Oversee Quality Department decisions regarding the selection, development, and approval of new suppliers.
- Conduct supplier visits and lead on-site audits.
- Implement and enhance the supplier rating process.
- Collaborate with supply chain, production, and engineering teams.
- Supervise a team of inspectors and purchasing personnel.
- Work closely with other departments to support the introduction or revision of new designs in manufacturing.
- Lead or participate in internal quality and process audits, and assist with external ISO, customer, and other required audits.

Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or in a related field
- 5+ years of Supplier Quality experience
- ISO 9001 experience (internal and external audits)
- Knowledge of metrology, GD&T, and electrical schematics
- Experience with Process Flow Diagrams, FMEAs, and Control Plans

Job Offer
- Base Salary: $115,000+
- Quarterly Bonus
