Description

  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are met.
  • Manage and optimize production workflows, equipment utilization, and labor efficiency.
  • Coordinate with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve production issues and implement process improvements.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Lead and develop production staff, including training, performance management, and shift scheduling.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Ensure inventory levels of raw materials and components are maintained to support uninterrupted production.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Support new product introductions and process changes through planning and execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as output, quality, efficiency, and scrap rates to senior management.

Profile

A successful Production Manager should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in production or operations management.
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and production planning tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and team-building abilities
