Senior Estimator - Multifamily & Commercial Construction

Client Details
An established and growing South Florida general contractor is seeking a Senior Estimator with expertise in multifamily and public works projects. This is a confidential opportunity for a results-driven professional who brings strong leadership capabilities and excels in conceptual estimating during preconstruction phases.
Description
Prepare detailed and conceptual estimates for multifamily and public sector construction projects
Lead the estimating process from preconstruction through final bid submission
Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to determine accurate scopes and pricing
Work closely with executives, project managers, and clients to develop value engineering solutions
Mentor junior estimating staff and support strategic bid/no-bid decisions
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive pricing
Support post-bid review and hand-off to operations teams
Profile
7+ years of estimating experience in multifamily residential and/or public works construction
Strong background in conceptual estimating, design-build, and negotiated bids
Ability to read and interpret complex plans, specs, and design documents
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring a team
Proficiency in estimating and takeoff software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, Procore)
Strong understanding of local market pricing and subcontractor network in South Florida
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred
