Electronics Manufacturing - Sr. Electrical Engineer - Salem MA
My client is seeking an Senior Electrical Engineer to join our brand-new office. As the sole Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for working independently on projects that span the development lifecycle, from concept to volume production. This is a great opportunity for someone with 3-5+ years of experience in electrical circuit design, particularly in low voltage DC systems. You'll be involved in designing and developing tightly integrated electrical hardware and firmware systems. The ideal candidate is comfortable with hands-on work and collaborating with cross-functional teams while working in a highly autonomous environment.

Known for their advanced optical coatings and reflectance standards, they provide innovative products to global markets, supported by a network of distribution partners.
Description
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement electrical circuits (low voltage, DC) for various projects
- Work on tightly integrated electrical hardware and firmware systems from concept through volume production
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate electrical systems into larger projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex engineering problems, providing innovative solutions
- Take ownership of projects and drive them to successful completion with minimal supervision
- Participate in project planning and provide status updates to the VP of Engineering
- Maintain documentation for all design processes, schematics, and systems integration details
Profile
Ideal Candidate:
- 3-5+ years of experience in electrical circuit design, with a focus on low voltage, DC systems
- Hands-on experience developing electrical hardware and firmware systems from concept to production
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and standards
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with integration of hardware/firmware systems
- Proficiency with electrical design tools and simulation software
- Strong communication skills with the ability to report project progress to leadership
