Operations Manager | Chemical
Our client is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead chemical handling and packaging operations at our growing facility. This role plays a key part in maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient production environment, overseeing a team of 40 employees.

Our client is a high-volume, high-quality packaging and production center for specialty and pharmaceutical-grade alcohols and solvents-supporting multiple industries with rigorous certification and quality assurance practices.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
Direct day-to-day operations across chemical packaging and handling, ensuring regulatory and safety compliance.
Lead and coach frontline teams, instilling a culture of accountability, engagement, and operational discipline.
Streamline production planning, material flow, and resource allocation to improve throughput and reduce waste.
Drive safety initiatives, regulatory adherence (OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA), and audit readiness.
Use performance metrics to identify gaps and deliver data-driven solutions for operational challenges.
Partner with other departments to improve cross-functional processes and support capital projects.
Profile
What You Bring:
5+ years of experience in operations or production leadership within chemical or industrial environments.
Strong understanding of chemical handling procedures, hazardous materials, and packaging systems.
Proven ability to lead mid-sized teams and implement Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methods.
Comfortable with ERP systems (ideally D365), production scheduling, and inventory control.
Skilled communicator and problem solver with a track record of driving measurable improvements.
