Superintendent- Healthcare Construction

We are seeking a driven and experienced Superintendent to oversee day-to-day operations on VA Hospital construction projects in Fort Lauderdale. This role is ideal for a hands-on construction leader who excels at managing job sites, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Description

  • Manage all on-site construction activities for VA hospital projects from start to finish

  • Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution

  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations and VA construction standards

  • Maintain detailed daily reports, manage schedules, and ensure deadlines are met

  • Oversee site safety, enforce company policies, and lead weekly safety meetings

  • Interpret and work directly from construction drawings, plans, and specifications

  • Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets high standards and contract requirements

Profile

  • Minimum 3 years of construction experience, preferably with healthcare or federal projects

  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents

  • Proven leadership and organizational skills on active construction sites

  • Solid understanding of safety protocols and OSHA requirements

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

  • Prior experience with VA or federal work is highly desirable

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus but not required
