RF Design Engineer - Medical Device - Beverly, MA
Client Details
My client is seeking a motivated RF Engineer to join a dynamic design team focused on developing and testing next-generation and existing HF/VHF RF amplifiers for industrial and medical applications with strong growth potential. This role involves full lifecycle responsibility for RF amplifier products, from design and development to testing. Candidates should have a solid foundation in RF and electrical engineering principles, strong problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
Description
The position will report directly into the RF Engineering Manager and be responsible for
Testing and validating existing RF circuitry; contributing to new RF product development
Designing high-power RF circuits exceeding 500 watts
Working within HF and VHF frequency ranges (3 MHz - 120 MHz)
Balancing theoretical analysis with practical, hands-on implementation
Designing PCB-level RF and analog circuits to meet performance and cost targets
Identifying and troubleshooting RF and analog circuit issues at the fundamental level
Utilizing PSPICE for analog circuit simulation and validation
Collaborating with electrical, mechanical, firmware, software, and PCB teams to deliver high-quality products
Contributing independently and within cross-functional teams to meet project goals
Encouraging continuous improvement and innovative thinking in product design and development
Staying current with emerging components and technologies to enhance performance, cost, and size
Demonstrating a willingness to learn and apply new concepts to evolving designs
Functioning effectively as both a team player and an individual contributor
Profile
The successful candidate will have:
- Electrical Engineering degree or similar
- 5-10+ years of experience with high performance power circuit design
- Experience with the frequency ranges (3 MHz - 120 MHz)
- Experience designing high-power RF circuits exceeding 500 watts
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to details
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Desire to be hands on
